President Akufo-Addo will open the maiden Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) in Accra to explore efficient and affordable energy technology towards accelerating the country’s economic growth. The event, slated for August 8th to 10th, 2023, is being organised by the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, and will attract captains of industry, policymakers, researchers, and innovators across Africa. At the media launch in Accra, Herbert Krapa, a Deputy Minister of Energy, said the AETC Conference would offer the opportunity to energy stakeholders to find ways to leverage technology towards accelerating Africa’s economic and industrial growth.   Chris Hughton’s unveiling as the new Black Stars coach has been delayed due to the loss of his father, according to  Ghana Football Association  (GFA) Communications Director Henry Asante Twum. The former Brighton manager was appointed two weeks ago and was expected to be unveiled before March, but he stayed behind in the United Kingdom for some time following his father’s passing. Hughton is now expected to arrive in Ghana next week for his unveiling. “Chris had to stay in the UK because he lost his dad and needed time with his family and plan the burial service.   The management of Mona Faiz Montrage (Hajia4reall) also known in the music circles as Mona 4Reall, have dispelled rumours that the Ghanaian socialite and artiste has been convicted in the United States of America and jailed for 10 years. In a press statement, the management indicated that the “publications making rounds on social media and news portals of the conviction and 10-year jail sentence of Mona Faiz Montrage and the current detention of her daughter; a minor, by the US authorities” are mere fabrications. “We would like to state categorically that the said reports are false,” they wrote. Stating the real facts of Mona’s current situation, the management mentioned that “Mona is currently in the UK. She has neither been put on trial nor convicted in the UK or US. Ajax manager John Heitinga has singled out Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus for praises after playing an inspiring role in the victory over De Graapschap.  The 22-year-old Ghana international starred and provided an assist as Ajax thumped their host in the quarter-final of the KNVB Cup.
